Have you ever heard that Chinese is the most difficult language in the world? It's not true. Why? Yes, it has a complex system of characters, and yes, it has tones, which are necessary to understand the whole message, but on the other hand Chinese grammar is one of the easiest? So, there are difficulties, but there are also facilitations - no grammatical tenses, no cases. Sounds easy?
As I've mentioned above - Chinese has five tones, the four pictured here, and the last - neutral one. You can see the video under the text to see more.
Chinese characters often have interesting meaning in them. We can see the character as a whole, but also as separate components, and for instance 好 - hao (means: good) contains a component 女 [nǚ] - (woman), and a component 子 [zǐ] (child). So, reading we can assume that it is good when a woman is with a child, or rather when a women sits at home with children. We can see chinese culture through these signs.
The next intersting fact, and very difficult to learn, unfortunately, is that when we draw the characters we should follow a certain order and direction of strokes. From left to right, and horizontal first - that are two mail rules. I you click on the button "strokes" here: http://ce.linedict.com/#/cnen/entry/1c6051c0ad1d4b5b9aab685559031de3 you would see how to write our charcter "hao".
There are also traditional characters, and simplified. Thankfully, these simplified are used nowadays, and that also makes Chinese posiible to learn.

Do you happen to recognise one component that I wrote about above? :)

I encourage you to leave comments and discuss about Chinese. :)
